Daniella Benitez

After a trip from California to build a house for a family in Mexico, Daniella decided she needed to keep building. She dedicated her time to fundraising for materials and trip costs to build more homes, with over a dozen families benefitting directly from her efforts. She’s also a leader, inspiring other young people to follow in her footsteps. Now, Marvel recognizes her as a true Super Hero.

I Have a Passion for Helping Others

Hi! My name is Daniella Benitez. I’m a high school student, a competitive tennis player, and of course, I love hanging out with my friends and family!

In May 2017, while in 7th grade, I was lucky to have the life-changing experience of building a home for a family living below the poverty line in Tijuana, Mexico. This happened through my school’s collaboration with the nonprofit organization Build A Miracle (BAM). Since then, it has become my personal mission to help even more families in need. Volunteering with BAM by forming teams of other kids, fundraising for construction materials and trip expenses, and traveling to Mexico to help build these homes with my own hands has become a very important part of my life.

My journey, including the completion of my 9th house, was just featured on February 2020 on Marvel's Hero Project – it’s a new show that profiles kids like me who are trying to make positive changes in their communities and the world.
